The Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to terms with former Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall on Sunday.

Marshall is widely expected to play cornerback in the NFL and was designated as a defensive back leading up to the draft.

If the Jaguars assign Marshall to play cornerback, he's expected to challenge Tommie Campbell, Jeremy Harris and Peyton Thompson for a roster spot.

The 22-year-old led Auburn to the 2014 BCS National Championship Game, where his team succumbed to the Jameis Winston-led Florida State Seminoles.
