Big Baby will suit up for Game 7 despite ankle sprain

Glen Davis injured his left ankle in the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Clippers' do-or-die Game 6 against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, but that won't keep him out of Game 7.

Clippers head coach Rivers noted Saturday afternoon that Davis is good to go for the final showdown with the Spurs.

"Baby is fine. If you're playing in the game, you're healthy," Rivers told Jovan Buha of Fox Sports.

Davis was helped to the Clippers' locker room and was later spotted in a wheelchair following Game 6.

Mostly out of necessity, Davis has emerged as a key rotation player for the Clippers' top-heavy frontcourt, something Chris Paul made note of after Game 6:

I don't know how serious it is. I know Big Baby's a worker. Guys stepped up when he went down, but we need him. We need him. Baby's an emotional leader for our team. He really leads that second unit, and we have an amazing training staff, I think the best training staff in the league. Those guys will get him ready to go by Saturday.

However, the ankle will still likely hamper Davis, which will surely cut down on his utility as a defender. Davis' best skill is moving his surprisingly quick feet on defense and shuffling over to take charges and to protect the rim.
