Thunder's Collison undergoes knee surgery

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Backup power forward Nick Collison of the Oklahoma City Thunder underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Thursday.

Collison will be sidelined for four-to-six weeks before returning to normal offseason activities. The 34-year-old, 11-year NBA veteran played in 66 games this season, missing significant time with an ankle injury. He averaged 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds.

The 6-foot-10 Collison underwent the same procedure last summer on his left knee. Going under the knife has been a common occurrence for the Thunder recently.
