Report: Broncos cut Quanterus Smith

The Denver Broncos have released defensive end Quanterus Smith, according to Troy E. Renck of The Denver Post. 

The once-promising pass rusher's release isn't a big surprise. With the draft approaching, the Broncos need to free up a few roster spots. 

Smith reportedly failed his physical, making the decision to let him go an easy one. 

Smith, a former fifth-round draft choice, played 15 games last season in a backup role, posting 11 tackles and zero sacks.
