Mancini: Lukas Podolski wants to rejoin Arsenal when Inter Milan loan ends

Roberto Mancini says Lukas Podolski wants to revitalise his Arsenal career following an unsuccessful loan spell with Inter Milan.

The Inter Milan boss revealed the German's intentions while answering questions about Podolski's lack of playing time with the Serie A club.

"In Italy, we have a habit of not being able to wait," Mancini told reporters. "Not everything can be done quickly, especially when moving from one country to another, from one club to another.

"The same applies to Podolski who I consider a great player and a great professional.

"That situation is a little different though, because he is on loan and wants to return to Arsenal."

Podolski joined Inter during the January transfer window and has failed to get into Mancini's good books since. He's only managed 14 appearances, with his last starting coming March 22 against Sampdoria.
