Mavericks will have Felton and Jefferson for Game 4 on Sunday

Thomas B. Shea-USA TODAY Sports

If the Dallas Mavericks are going to go down, they're going to go down eating.

Swinging. We mean swinging.

The Mavericks will have Raymond Felton in the lineup on Sunday when they take on the Houston Rockets with their season on the line. Felton was pulled from Game 3 with a right hamstring injury but has been given the green light for Sunday, when it was thought he'd start in place of the injured Rajon Rondo once again.

Richard Jefferson also says he'll play despite a calf injury suffered in Game 3. Jefferson stood to start at small forward in place of the injured Chandler Parsons.

Both Felton and Jefferson had been considered questionable earlier in the weekend, and both ended up coming off the bench instead of starting. J.J. Barea and Al-Farouq Aminu drew the starts.

With a 3-0 series hole and Rondo and Parsons sidelined, the presence of Felton and Jefferson is unexpectedly paramount. Dallas has been rendered thin and outmatched at both ends of the floor, and they'll need an all-out effort Sunday with contributions from unexpected sources to extend their season for at least one more game.

Felton has scored nine points with four assists in 30 minutes in the series after averaging 3.7 points and 1.4 assists in 29 regular season games. Jefferson has scored 10 points in 39 minutes, down some from the 5.8 points he averaged in 16.8 regular season minutes.
