Lionel Hollins on Kyle Korver: 'If he's that good, he'd make all of' his 3s

Apparently, Brooklyn Nets head coach Lionel Hollins isn't overly concerned with Atlanta Hawks sharpshooter Kyle Korver, even after Korver dropped a game-high 21 points in a Game 1 win.

"How many shots did he take (Sunday) and how many did he miss? See, if he's that good, he'd make all of them," Hollins told Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

"Everybody misses, man. He's a good shooter, I acknowledge that, we acknowledge that as a team, we game plan for him because he is a great shooter," Hollins said. "But until he starts shooting 100 percent, we've got to play and be in position to help, and then recover, and close out."

Hollins wrapped up his talk by comparing Korver to likely MVP-to-be Stephen Curry.

"It's not like we're talking Curry. Korver, he's a great come-off-the-screen guy, he's great with moving without the ball, but he rarely puts the ball on the floor like Curry and shakes you up. Now, you start talking about Curry, and trying to game plan for him, it's a lot different than game planning for Korver."

Sure, that's fair, to compare Korver to quite possibly the best shooter of all time.

It's worth noting that Korver led the league in 3-point percentage for a second-consecutive season by shooting 49.2 percent from deep. It's also worth noting that Korver posted the best on-off splits for the best team in the East. For his efforts, Korver earned a trip to the All-Star game, something no member of the Nets managed this season.

But most importantly, Korver drained five triples against the Nets in Game 1 and recorded seven rebounds, three assists and two steals to lead his Hawks to a win in Game 1.
