Coach Dwane Casey did not indicate whether Johnson would be a part of the rotation in Game 2 on Tuesday, TSN reports.

Analysis:

Despite "we want James" chants raining from the stands in Toronto, Johnson was a DNP-CD in Saturday's Game 1, which the Raptors lost in overtime. When asked about the situation Monday, Casey reiterated that he'll use Johnson when the matchups are appropriate. "There's going to be a time for him," Casey insisted. "I'm not going to say when it's going to be. It's not me being stubborn. It's a collective decision by our staff. It's a whole team decision. I'm not trying to be stubborn, saying 'hey, we're not going to play James Johnson', no. It's a strategic decision. We understand what we're doing." Johnson's role has fluctuated for most of the season, so the 28-year-old is used to drastic swings in minutes. "I'm the fill-in," Johnson said. "And I'm okay with that."
