Liverpool were apparently forced to adjust their Player of the Year vote on Monday after it was hijacked by Manchester United supporters looking to give the award to Mario Balotelli, who has scored a woeful three goals in 19 appearances.

According to ESPN FC, Liverpool were forced to take action to avoid Balotelli running away with the award, removing the struggling forward from the vote entirely.

Here's a screenshot of the candidates after Balotelli's name was taken down:

However, Balotelli appears to be back in the running, as his name is once again included on the ballot, which can be viewed on Liverpool's official website.
