Blazers' Arron Afflalo expects to play in Game 2 vs. Grizzlies

The Portland Trail Blazers might receive a boost in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.

Blazers guard Arron Afflalo could return to action to help his team against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night after suffering a right shoulder strain earlier this month.

Afflalo was asked if he would see any action while leaving the locker room after Portland dropped a 100-86 decision to Memphis on Sunday night.

"Yeah, I'm good," Afflalo told CSNNW's Jabari Young

The strain sidelined the shooting guard for the last three regular-season games. He also missed the team's first playoff game.

Afflalo did participate in Sunday morning's shooting drills.

"He's getting some range in motion," said Blazers coach Terry Stotts of Afflalo's participation.

Afflalo averaged 13.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 78 games with the Blazers and Denver Nuggets this season.
