Rockets' Brewer enjoyed big 4th quarter because Mavs 'traded me away for a bag of chips'

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Houston Rockets shooting guard Corey Brewer had himself a fourth quarter to remember Saturday night in Game 1 against the Dallas Mavericks, which Houston won 118-108

Brewer scored 13 of his 15 points in the final frame, ensuring the Rockets held on for the win, and it was bittersweet for the 29-year-old, due to his past:

Brewer signed with the Mavericks as a free agent in March 2011, and was traded in November of that year along with Rudy Fernandez to the Denver Nuggets for a 2016 second-round pick - which is apparently a bag of chips.

Brewer, clearly, hasn't forgotten. And he got his revenge, hitting 5-of-11 shots, including 3-of-4 from deep, to bury his former team. He added one assist in his 24 minutes.
