Report: Jaelen Strong cleared by Steelers' doctors

Wide receiver prospect Jaelen Strong received clearance from Pittsburgh Steelers doctors and trainers Friday during his pre-draft visit with the team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Steelers put Strong's fractured wrist through a battery of tests and plan to send the results to other teams so the Arizona State product won't have to travel to Indianapolis for a medical recheck, Schefter reports.

Strong downplayed the severity of the injury Wednesday after it was reported that he would require surgery, tweeting that he fractured his wrist during ASU's Nov. 1 victory over Utah and was able to play the following five games.

Strong has been projected as a potential first-round selection in the upcoming draft.
