VIDEO: Bouchard snubs Fed Cup opponent, because handshakes are for the weak

Eugenie Bouchard isn't interested in pleasantries.

The world-ranked No. 7 player declined to shake hands with Romania's Alexandra Dulgheru during a Fed Cup draw ceremony Friday in Montreal.

The 21-year-old Canadian didn't feel like she had anything to apologize for either.

“It’s nothing personal towards her," said Bouchard. "I just don’t believe in wishing my opponent good luck before the match. But after we play tomorrow (Saturday), I will shake her hand, you know, no matter what happens."

It's not the first time Bouchard has snubbed an opponent. She also passed on a pre-match handshake with Slovakia's Kristina Kucova at last year's Fed Cup event.

Dulgheru - ranked 69th in the world - had the final laugh, though.

She took down Bouchard in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, to level things at 1-1 heading into Sunday.
