Burks (shoulder) will be restrained from contact drills for another three months, The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Burks had season-ending surgery back in December to address an ongoing irritation in his shoulder. In fact, he's had the injury since his playing days at Colorado and has openly expressed his elation to play with a clean bill of health for the first time in his professional career. He came into the season as Utah's starting shooting guard but there's some concern heading into 2015-16 that current rookie Rodney Hood may relegate Burks back to a sixth man role since Hood had a breakout finish to his season and Burks obviously has a lot of question marks clouding his future. This dynamic will probably force Burks into the later rounds of drafts next preseason, although he'll be a steal across all formats if he manages to take on a full workload within the first month of the 2015-16 season, off the bench or as a starter.
