The Kansas men's basketball team will represent the United States in the World University Games this summer.

The university announced Friday that it will be playing two exhibition games against the Canadian men's national team at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Miss., in June. The games will serve as a tune-up for the tournament, which takes place from July 3-14 in Gwangju, South Korea.

What is particularly notable about the matchup is that it could reunite Jayhawks coach Bill Self and current Minnesota Timberwolves forward Andrew Wiggins, who played his freshman year of college in Lawrence. Wiggins is expected to join the Canadian national team at some point during the summer.

Tickets will be sold in a two-game package for $50. While the United States International Sports Federation selects the team which will take part in the event, the costs associated with the trip are the responsibility of the institution.

The proceeds earned from the two tune-up games will go towards funding those expenses.
