Kirk Hinrich: (Knee) Intends To Play Saturday

Hinrich (knee) is expected to play in Saturday's opener against the Bucks, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Hinrich suffered a hyperextended left knee a week ago and was forced off the court for the final two games of the season as a result. Obviously there's concern moving forward since this is a fresh injury that he's yet to have played on, but his week of rest ahead of Saturday's playoff opener certainly was the best possible remedy. The 34-year-old averaged 24.4 minutes over 66 games this regular season and it would be reasonable to assume that he could see around that same total against the Bucks.
