Grizzlies' Conley out Wednesday vs. Pacers, Gasol good to go

Wednesday's injury report brought about both good and bad news for the slumping Memphis Grizzlies.

The bad news is that point guard Mike Conley will join Tony Allen on the sidelines due to a foot sprain that has also kept him out of the team's last three games.

The good news is that All-Star center Marc Gasol will start against the Indiana Pacers despite a sprained ankle, as the Grizzlies look to improve their playoff positioning against a Pacers team trying to secure the Eastern Conference's eighth and final playoff spot.

Allen, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury for nearly three weeks, had already been ruled out of Wednesday's game.

The Grizzlies can move up to fifth in the West - setting up a first-round matchup with the banged-up Portland Trail Blazers - if things break right for them on Wednesday, but they also need to take care of business against Indiana.
