Hornets without Jefferson, MKG, Stephenson again Wednesday

The spectacle of national television isn't enough to add meaning to an otherwise meaningless season finale for the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets will once again be without Al Jefferson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Lance Stephenson and P.J. Hairston as they close their disappointing 2014-15 season in Toronto on Wednesday.

Jefferson will miss a seventh consecutive game to close the season due to continued knee soreness, while Kidd-Gilchrist will finish his campaign having missed the final 10 games due to a significant ankle sprain.

Stephenson, who struggled through a horrendous debut season in Charlotte that included 17 percent 3-point shooting and multiple DNP-CD's, will sit out with a toe injury.

Hairston will end his rookie season having missed two consecutive games after spraining his right knee on Sunday, while Cody Zeller (shoulder) also remains out for the Hornets, who failed to build on last year's postseason trip.
