Pettis vs. Jury, Tate vs. Eye added to UFC on FOX 16

Aside from a bantamweight title clash between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao, a pair of big fights have been added to UFC on FOX 16.

Pettis will start his quest to recapture the lightweight title against talented prospect Myles Jury. Pettis violently carved out a path through the lightweight division between 2011 and 2015, capturing the 155-pound championship with a victory over Benson Henderson at UFC 164. Pettis's brief title run was thoroughly extinguished by Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 185 in March, when dos Anjos beat him pillar-to-post for five consecutive rounds en route to a one-sided unanimous decision victory.

Jury had fashioned himself an impressive six-fight winning streak until he ran into Donald Cerrone at UFC 182 in January, losing to a lopsided unanimous decision to "Cowboy" in the biggest test of his MMA career.

Miesha Tate has racked up three consecutive victories since losing to Ronda Rousey at UFC 168 in 2013, while her opponent, Jessica Eye, emerged victorious via TKO against Leslie Smith in her last outing at UFC 180 in November.
