Thiago Motta not in squad to play Barcelona, will miss match with hamstring injury

Thiago Motta's hamstring isn't quite ready.
The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was not included in the club's squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Barcelona, as the hamstring injury that he suffered in the recent Ligue 1 clash against Marseille has not healed in time.
This was the likely outcome after manager Laurent Blanc said last week that the Brazilian-born Italian would need 10 days to recover, but there were some rumblings that he could be fit in time for the contest.
Alas, the initial diagnosis was the correct one, and Motta will watch from the sidelines Wednesday along with the suspended trio of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Verratti and Serge Aurier.
