Johnson left Sunday's game against the Mavericks at halftime with a moderate left ankle sprain, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.

Analysis:

Johnson has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest, after putting up 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-5 3PT), a rebound and two assists over 20 minutes in the first half. The Lakers are already paper-thin on the wing, and they've been using an eight-man rotation that relies heavily on Johnson, Jordan Clarkson, Ryan Kelly and Jabari Brown. If Johnson can't return for Monday's game in Sacramento, the Lakers will divide his minutes among their remaining healthy players, with Dwight Buycks likely to get the largest bump. Clarkson and Brown have already been getting minutes in the high-30s.
