Austin Cindric: Makes Daytona 500 on Lap Time

Cindric finished 16th in the Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway Thursday night.

Analysis:

The rookie didn't have the best performance in Thursday night's opening duel qualifier. Cindric would speed on pit road during his first pit stop and serve the penalty that would put him a lap down. Fortunately, Cindric's lap time in Wednesday's qualifying session was strong, and he'll make Sunday's Daytona 500 based on that criteria.
