Analysis:

If Fournier was going into free agency, this push to get him back before the end of the season would make a lot more sense, but since he's technically on the Magic books for another two seasons, the only reason to have him play this season is if the Magic will be looking to trade him in the offseason. It's hard to see much other long-term motivation.
