Giants' Cruz wishes Pacers' George well in return from gruesome leg injury

Victor Cruz knows a thing or two about serious leg injuries.

The New York Giants receiver is currently rehabilitating a torn patellar tendon, but his thoughts on Sunday were with Indiana Pacers forward Paul George, who was making his return to the court after suffering a terrible leg injury of his own last summer.

"Going through an injury myself I know what it takes to go through the grind of rehabilitation," Cruz said on Instagram. "Don't wish any injuries on anyone that uses their bodies to make a living. With that said, happy to see you back on the court brother."

While George is back out there, Cruz may be hard-pressed to make it on the field for the Giants by Week 1. Reports from last week said Cruz is still not close to returning to action, meaning he could be a candidate to start 2015 on the PUP list.
