Arthur (calf) hopes he'll be able to return before the end of the regular season, the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Arthur has missed the last four games with a lingering calf injury, which he described as similar to that of Clippers' guard Jamal Crawford. Crawford has missed 15 games (and counting), and is not expected back until at least next week. On that kind of timetable, Arthur would miss the rest of the season, but that doesn't mean the team has given up on getting him back. "We're going to do what's best for him and the organization, obviously," coach Melvin Hunt said. "My hope and my thought is the rest is helping. The rest is helping, and he's doing a tremendous amount of rehab." With the Nuggets bound for the lottery, they really don't have much of an incentive to bring Arthur back, but the forward is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so he'd like to avoid any lingering injury concerns.
