Ravens owner would consider bringing Ngata back in 2016

Haloti Ngata's tenure as a Baltimore Raven came to a startling halt when he was traded to the Detroit Lions on the opening day of free agency.

Ngata was sent to the Lions on March 10 along with a seventh-round selection in exchange for fourth- and fifth-round draft picks.

Although the Ravens recently parted ways with the five-time Pro Bowler, team owner Steve Bisciotti said he hasn't ruled out bringing Ngata back to Baltimore - an assertion that may constitute tampering by NFL rules.

"Any public or private statement of interest, qualified or unqualified, in another club's player to that player's agent or representative, or to a member of the news media, is a violation of the Anti-Tampering Policy," the NFL's policy reads

Ngata was selected 12th overall by the Ravens in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Bisciotti also said that quarterback Joe Flacco wouldn't be opposed to restructuring his contract.
