Hardwood Highlight of the Night: Hansbrough throws down on Henderson

John E. Sokolowski / USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors had to make due without the services of Kyle Lowry and Amir Johnson again on Wednesday, but plays like this second quarter gem helped them pull away from a shorthanded Charlotte Hornets team.

The play begins with Greivis Vasquez using his size advantage at the point guard position to back Kemba Walker down into the post.

At that point, Hornets power forward Marvin Williams is checking Tyler Hansbrough, while center Bismack Biyombo keeps an eye on Chuck Hayes.

By the next slide, however, which you can see below, Williams has left Hansbrough to go help Walker trap and contain Vasquez.

Vasquez then threads a nifty pass around Williams' hip to Hayes, which brings Biyombo up to challenge the Raptors' center.

This leaves Hansbrough completely unguarded under the Hornets' basket, with no rim protector in sight, resulting in a rare Psycho T poster thanks to a quick Hayes dime and a last ditch defensive effort from Gerald Henderson.
