Pat LaFontaine, who spent his glory years as a player with the New York Islanders and Buffalo Sabres, and who has served as vice president of development and community affairs for the NHL, is planning a hockey summit reports Darren Dreger of TSN.

The developmental meetings would bring the CHL, NCAA, Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, the NHL and NHLPA together to discuss things such as draft age and college eligibility.

Tentative dates for the conference are May 5th and 6th in New York City.

Though the meetings are in the planning stages, there is a strong desire from all parties to meet and discuss the ideas on the table.
