Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says two clubs have already thrown their hat in the ring and submitted official bids for 21-year-old star Paulo Dybala, whom he has continually claimed will rival the likes of Lionel Messi when as his career progresses.

Zamparini is renowned for his wild, often ridiculous claims, so more than a few grains of salt should accompany that comment. And yet, there is no doubting that the Argentine attacker is a wonderful talent. His 12 goals, seven assists and consistently dazzling performances lay credence to that.

Those performances have drawn the interest of a number of clubs throughout Europe, though the eclectic owner says two have made their desire to sign the player formal with an official offer.

"Juventus and Arsenal have already made offers for the boy. (Pierpaolo) Triulzi, his agent, will be in Italy on Friday," Zamparini told Radio Marte Sport.

Though he would not disclose how wide the Gunners and Bianconeri were willing to open their checkbooks, Zamparini maintained his long-standing valuation of Dybala remains firm.

"It hasn't changed. Someone like Dybala cannot be worth less than €40 million. He would prefer to stay in Italy - he still wants to play in Serie A.

"Of the English clubs that have shown interest, though, Arsenal is his first choice because of the way (Arsene) Wenger makes his team play."
