Report: Jets to host Erin Henderson on free-agent visit

Looking to add talent at inside linebacker, the New York Jets appear to be turning their attention to the remaining players available on the free-agent market.

After meeting with the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week, veteran linebacker Erin Henderson reportedly has a visit scheduled with the Jets, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee.

Henderson, now 28 years old, had spent the first six years of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, making 33 starts from 2011 to 2013 before being released from the team and sitting out the 2014 campaign.

Though the Jets aren't the only team in the market for his services, Henderson would add some much-needed competition to the linebacker corps as the defense transitions under new head coach Todd Bowles.
