Texans' Jadeveon Clowney limp-free, optimistic about recovery

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

After a disappointing rookie season, Houston Texans linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is eager to get his career back on track.

Clowney was spotted walking without a limp at a promotional event Saturday and said his recovery from microfracture knee surgery is going well.

"I'm taking it one day at a time, having some fun hanging out with fans," Clowney said, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

Clowney, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, was limited to four games last season and failed to record a sack. The surgery he underwent in December typically carries a nine-month recovery, but the Texans are hoping to get him back in time for training camp.
