The Carolina Panthers claimed offensive tackle Jonathan Martin off waivers Friday.

Martin was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.

The 25-year-old is most famous for being the victim of a bullying scandal as a member of the Miami Dolphins. Martin was harassed by Richie Incognito, Mike Pouncey and John Jerry, leaving the club during the 2013 season.

He was traded to the 49ers in March 2014. The former Stanford standout took 661 snaps with San Francisco, primarily at right tackle, but performed poorly.
