Aaron Hernandez trial delayed as jurors questioned

FALL RIVER, Mass. - The murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has been delayed as the judge questions several jurors.

The reason was not immediately clear. Superior Court Judge Susan Garsh began Friday's session with an announcement that she had received a note from a juror, and she called up the lawyers and Hernandez to discuss it privately in a sidebar conference at the bench.

A juror was then led in and questioned privately by Garsh, then left.

Then a second juror was brought in and questioned, followed by several others.

The delay comes as Hernadez's fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, is expected to be called to testify in the trial. Jenkins has been granted immunity, which means she can be compelled to testify or face time behind bars.
