Ryan Anderson: (Knee) Out At Least Another Week

Anderson (knee) said he hopes to be able to return to action in a week, the New Orleans Advocate's Darrell J. Williams reports.

Analysis:

He got a custom-made brace Wednesday for his sprained right knee that provides more stability than the sleeve he had been using. Anderson says his lateral movement has improved, but he is still only about 80 percent healthy and has not been able to do explosive exercises. Considering the Pelicans are three and a half games out of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with only 12 games to play, they could realistically be eliminated from playoff contention in the coming weeks, at which point the Pelicans would likely abandon any attempt to bring Anderson back this season.
