Thunder's Collison out at least 10 days with ankle sprain

The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to limp towards a postseason berth in the unforgiving Western Conference, but at this rate, they may run out of bodies before running out of games.

The latest Thunder player to be dealt an injury blow is veteran big man Nick Collison, who will miss at least 10 days with a sprained left ankle sustained in Friday's thrilling victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Earlier on Friday, Kevin Durant was ruled out indefinitely with foot soreness and removed from all basketball activities, while Serge Ibaka remains sidelined for the next four-to-six weeks following knee surgery.

Collison, who had logged some DNP-CDs this season, was the lone player remaining on the Thunder roster who had yet to miss a game due to injury. He was averaging 4.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 16 minutes per game.

With Enes Kanter still recovering from a sprained ankle of his own, Steven Adams and Mitch McGary might have to carry the load inside for OKC.

Kanter is considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Miami Heat.

The Thunder hold a two-game lead over the New Orleans Pelicans and a three-game lead over the Phoenix Suns for the West's eighth and final playoff spot.
