There isn't a whole lot going right for the Toronto Maple Leafs as the team scuffles down the final stretch of what has been a miserable season.

The team is 27-39-6 after a 4-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, which led to more drama in Leafs land.

On Saturday, the Maple Leafs will celebrate a positive milestone with defenseman Eric Brewer scheduled to play his 1,000th game in the NHL.

The 35-year-old, who was selected with the fifth overall pick by the New York Islanders in 1997, is with his sixth franchise, earning 267 points along the way.

The Maple Leafs travel to Ottawa Saturday to attempt to spoil the playoff hopes of the Hamburglar, Andrew Hammond, and the scorching hot Senators.
