Fraser Forster had to be replaced by Kelvin Davis on Saturday after the Southampton 'keeper suffered an apparent leg injury.

The English 'keeper was stretchered off the pitch 14 minutes into Saturday's match against Burnley when he slipped during a clearance attempt and immediately called for the medical staff's assistance.

It looked like a harmless slip, but replays revealed a possible serious knee injury as it looked like Forster's knee cap on his planting leg had been displaced.

However, the team have yet to confirm the exact nature of the injury.

Forster became the Premier League's second 'keeper to leave a match with an ailment Saturday following Hugo Lloris' injury during Tottenham's match against Leicester City.
