Gregory van der Wiel's move from the 4-3-3 of Ajax to the 4-3-3 of Paris Saint-Germain came at a time when Carlo Ancelotti and Leonardo were laying the groundwork for PSG's Champions League aspirations.

Two-and-a-half season later, Van der Wiel is an established member of a PSG side that could reach the competition's quarterfinals should they earn a favourable result in the second leg of their round-of-16 tie versus Chelsea. And while it's unlikely that this is the campaign in which PSG conquer Europe, the 27-year-old right-back believes it can be done.

"The Champions League is the big dream, of course," Van der Wiel told thegreensoccerjounal.com, as excerpted by Jonathan Johnson of the Guardian. "For me, for the club and for every player here, it is the same. I think we have a really strong team, so there is a chance for us to achieve this goal."

A full copy of the excerpt can be seen here and is worth a read, as Van der Wiel discusses a number of items, including his move from Ajax to PSG, his dismissal from Ajax's youth setup on behavioural grounds as a 14-year-old, life in Paris, hip hop and his tattoo collection.
