Auburn running back Corey Grant runs super-fast 40-yard dash

Auburn running back Corey Grant wasn't invited to the NFL combine and may have missed out on $100,000 as a result.

The speedy back ran unofficial times between 4.19 and 4.30 at Auburn's pro day, depending on who you talk to. Anything below UAB's J.J. Nelson's 4.28 would have been good enough to win.

NFL Network's Mike Mayock timed Grant at 4.25 and 4.27.

"I definitely used the combine thing as motivation in training," Grant said during a break, according to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. "I was expecting to run well. My goal was in the 4.1s. I know that sounds crazy, but you've got to set your goals high."

Grant rushed for 382 yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries in 2014 and was used as a kick returner throughout his career at Alabama and Auburn. His role in the NFL could be that of a situational returner.
