NBA dishes out fines to Len, Whiteside and Morris

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA has come down on two Phoenix Suns and one Miami Heat player for their parts in two separate incidents in Monday's game between the two teams.

The league fined Suns center Alex Len $20,000 on Tuesday, while teammate Markieff Morris picked up a $15,000 fine. The Heat's Hassan Whiteside was also hit with a $15,000 penalty. No suspensions were dished out.

Len got it the worst for attempting to wrestle Whiteside to the floor in the third quarter of Monday's 111-98 Heat win in Miami. Both were ejected, but the league said Whiteside helped escalate the incident.

Four minutes earlier, Phoenix's Markieff Morris had received a flagrant-2 for hammering Heat point guard Goran Dragic on a breakaway at the basket. It was Dragic's first game against his former Suns teammates.
