Ex-Raider Kaluka Maiava jailed for assault

Free-agent linebacker Kaluka Maiava turned himself into authorities in Hawaii on Monday and is serving a 15-day sentence stemming from a 2013 bar fight, according to the Associated Press.

Maiava started two games for the Oakland Raiders last season before being cut in November. His attorney says he hopes to continue his playing career with another team.
