Chris Bosh released from hospital on Friday

Fantastic news: Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh has been released from the hospital, according to a Tweet from the Heat.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra says Bosh is "home and feeling better."

Bosh's season was cut short when he was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs last week.

The fact that Bosh is healthy enough to be released from hospital is a tremendously positive sign. The NBA has endured a few scares involving blood clots this season. Earlier this season, Brooklyn Nets forward Mirza Teletovic could have died, if not for an attentive medic, after developing blood clots.

The 30-year-old Bosh enjoyed an All-Star worthy season, posting averages of 21.1 points and seven rebounds per game.
