Garnett out Friday as T-Wolves open back-to-back

With his highly anticipated return under his belt, Kevin Garnett can now get on with the business of leading a young Minnesota Timberwolves team.

Whether that involves the 38-year-old, 20-year veteran playing in back-to-back sets remains to be seen, and will be left up to him.

Garnett, who said his body "felt like shit" after Wednesday's emotional homecoming and victory over the Washington Wizards, is out for Friday's game against the Chicago Bulls.

"All year, I've been having issues with back-to-backs," Garnett said after Friday morning's shootaround, as reported by The Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda. "I've tried to practice as much as I can. I want to be productive."

Asked about his status for the back-to-back, Garnett said: "We'll see, we'll see. If not tonight, definitely tomorrow. The thing is here is the long haul and the bigger picture here and trying to be productive."
