Report: Andrei Kirilenko to sign with CSKA Moscow

Looks like veteran swingman Andrei Kirilenko is taking his talents back home to Russia.

Kirilenko intends to sign with Euroleague powerhouse CSKA Moscow once his buyout from the Philadelphia 76ers is complete, reports David Pick of Eurobasket.com. Kirilenko previously played for CSKA Moscow in 2011, where he captured Euroleague MVP honors.

The 76ers acquired Kirilenko as part of a salary-dump transaction with the Brooklyn Nets. Kirilenko failed to suit up for the 76ers as he attended to a personal issue in New York City.

Although Kirilenko has played sparingly over the past two seasons, the 34-year-old was reportedly pursued by a number of NBA suitors.

Kirilenko averaged 0.4 points and 1.1 rebounds in 5.1 minutes per game this season. Injuries aside, Kirilenko carried a well-earned reputation for being a smart two-way player capable of playing multiple positions.
