While he's the ninth coach to join the 1,000 club, only he and Jerry Sloan won that many games with a single franchise.

The Spurs were outrebounded by the pesky Pacers, didn't shoot as well from deep, and only scored six second-chance points all night - but those six points came in the final four minutes.

In regards to late-game execution, how Spurs is that?

Belinelli finished with 12 points while Tony Parker led the Spurs with 19.

Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News found it noteworthy that Belinelli gave Pop his 1,000th.
