The Washington Wizards snapped a five-game losing streak on Saturday by destroying the Brooklyn Nets, 114-77.

As if beating the Nets by 37 points wasn't enough - without Bradley Beal to boot - Wizards big man Marcin Gortat rubbed a little salt in Brooklyn's wounds by reminding Nets fans where their team ranks in the minds of good teams.

"At the end of the day, it's Brooklyn. We can't get too excited," Gortat told reporters.

Ouch.

The Wizards improved to 32-20 with the win, while the Nets fell to 21-29 and dropped into a tie with the Miami Heat for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
