Clint Bowyer: Battles to Seventh at BMS
Bowyer battled a loose-handling race car to a seventh-place finish in Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, stewarthaasracing.com reports.
Analysis:
The veteran driver was able to shake off some recent bad luck and turn in a workman-like performance Saturday night at Bristol. His No. 14 Ford Mustang was loose all night, and Bowyer battled rear-end grip for much of the event. The team would improve the handling over the course of the night, and he would finally work his way forward. Bowyer would spin late in stage 2 and lose some valuable track position, but he would rally back and fight to seventh-place by the checkered flag. It was his 10th Top 10 of the season, and snapped a four-race Top-10 drought for the No. 14 SHR team.
