Lucas is expected to sign a second 10-day contract with the Pistons, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Lucas still has roughly four days left on his first 10-day contract, so it seems that he'll be the backup point guard in Detroit for another couple of weeks. The Pistons are in dire need of point guard depth after the season-ending injury to Brandon Jennings (Achilles), so it's entirely possible that Lucas is eventually signed on for the rest of the season. Although it's important to realize that he'll play second fiddle to starter D.J. Augustin this season, as the veteran has only played a total of 22 minutes over his first two games with Detroit.
