Pacers' Mahinmi leaves game, did not return

Indiana Pacers backup center Ian Mahinmi left Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons after coming down awkwardly and spraining his right ankle.
X-rays were negative, but he did not return.
Mahinmi grabbed a rebound when he landed in the paint and crumpled over in pain. The 6-foot-11 Frenchman had to be helped off the floor by teammates and was then taken to the locker room in a wheelchair.
Mahinmi missed a month of action earlier this season with a torn plantar fascia in his left foot. Due to the Pacers' injury situation, he has seen an uptick in minutes this year and is averaging a career-high 6.2 rebounds a game.
