Joe Johnson: Struggling With Tendinitis
Johnson has been playing through tendinitis in his right knee and his left ankle for the majority of the season, Newsday reports.
Analysis:
Johnson does not plan on taking any time off to rest, but his production has taken a dive in the month of January as he's shooting 36.2 percent from the field and a lowly 29.0 percent from three-point range. His current plan is to gut it out until the All-Star break without taking time off the court to rest. This strategy bodes well for owners of Johnson in the short term, although Johnson's long-term viability is in serious question.
